Rumoured to have been washed up at Splashpoint on the English Channel coast, this fantasy kaleidoscopic egg is suspected of being a fossilised Knucker egg!
It’s name comes from the Anglo-Saxon “Nicor”, meaning water-monster and was used in the poem Beowulf. If you are unlucky enough you might come across a Knucker in many of the bottomless waterholes found across Sussex, including Lancing, Shoreham and Worthing. Some believe that they go down to the other side of the world!
